IMB Bank are looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our Batemans Bay, Narooma and Moruya branches on a casual basis. This local job opportunity is an ideal way to get your foot into the door of a community focused bank, where you’re able to gain hands on experience, enjoy interacting with members in branch and online, providing them with a high level of service to ensure their financial needs are met and their experience with IMB is a positive one.
This is a casual position and as such hours will vary from week to week. The role will appeal to someone who may be looking for flexibility and work life balance, a foot in the door of a highly reputable and trusted employer, or looking to earn extra income in an interesting and diverse job role.
As a Customer Service Representative, the main activities include:
- Having conversations with members face to face and over the phone to assist them with their banking and insurance needs
- Exploring new opportunities to find the right financial solutions that may improve our members position
- Working with a team to achieve daily goals and business objectives
- Maintaining a high level of operational adherence in line with company and regulatory standards, policies and procedures
- Cash handling, balancing and administrative activities.
We encourage you to apply if you can demonstrate some or all of the following:
- Experience in a retail, sales and/or customer service environment
- Honesty and integrity with the ability to diligently follow and adhere to policies and procedures in a regulated financial environment
- Sound numeracy, cash handling experience and an accurate eye for detail
- An aptitude for technology with proficient computer skills
- A positive and upbeat outlook and genuinely enjoy helping others and working together to achieve common goals
- Initiative and the ability to manage multiple activities
- A valid Driver’s License and reliable transport with the flexibility and availability to travel and work at branches within the region if and when required
- The flexibility to work the hours required by the branch and being available on-call.
